Affiliate Project X has created quite a stir in the internet marketing world. And so often in internet marketing, the sizzle is greater than the steak so I set out to see if the hype was warranted.
I visited the Affiliate Project X sales page to see what the buzz was all about.

Now let me say I've seen thousands of sales pitches. I've even written a dozen or so of them. So I rarely, if ever, purchase a product based on the sales page. I know the author is going to tell me his book is the best since sliced bread, but I want proof from a third party so I usually read reviews first before making a decision to buy. And even then, the book must come with a money back guarantee because there's simply too much garbage out there and garbage products don't deserve my money.
So when I tell you I bought the product immediately after reading the sales page, that is saying something. The sales page is that good.
It also helped that, earlier this year, I read and recommended author Chris McNeeney's other book, AdWords Miracle. McNeeney showed in that book he goes against the grain and has his own unique angle. By questioning popular practices, he comes up with new solutions. I used the practices in that book, and yes, they made me a fair amount of money.
Affiliate Project X
In writing Affiliate Project X, McNeeney used pupils to demonstrate and perfect the effectiveness of his theories. McNeeney taught 12 "newbies" and intermediate affiliates over a three week period. At the end of the three weeks, six of his students were making over $100 in net profit per day using the Project X strategies. Four of the remaining sex were earning $50 or more per day and the final two did not invest the time or implement the strategies, although McNeeney claims the both still earned over $200 in less than two weeks.
The most important theme taught in Affiliate Project X is the value of choosing the right product at the right time. McNeeney details exactly what affiliates should look for and he points out that if affiliates choose the wrong product, no amount of marketing knowledge can overcome it. Conversely, by picking the right product, the affiliate can actually make mistakes, and still make money. I have found this to be true in my own affiliate marketing business and I have been amazed so many books fail to mention the importance of choosing the right product.
Another star goes to Affiliate Project X for staying current. ClickBank just re-designed their site a few weeks ago and the new screen shots are included in Affiliate Project X. Also, AdWords now offers many new features, which are discussed in Affiliate Project X. McNeeney seems to understand the importance of staying ahead of the curve.
One last comment. I'm continually disappointed by affiliate marketing books where it's clear the author is holding back "the good stuff." The basics are all included, but where's teh information that puts the 'super' in Super Affiliates? Affiliate Project X spills the beans. There's a little bit of basic information, but the book is primarily focused on new techniques he has discovered and he answers the questions posed to him when teaching his students.
Conclusion:
As I mentioned earlier, I bought AdWords Miracle earlier in the year and still refer to it today. That book was not the only reason for my AdWords succes, but it was a large part of my education of AdWords and why I am now profitable using that medium.
After reading Affiliate Project X, I know I will lean on this book now and in the future as well. Chris McNeeney gets it. He clearly understands that if he truly helps his readers by providing useful information and not witholding secrets, he will get referrals and return customers. That's clearly the case here as I have now bought two of his products and recommend him and his new book Affiliate Project X to anyone.
