5 Steps To Affiliate Success In Competitive Genres

Affiliate marketing is a great way for people to earn an income, with their own business, without creating a product or service of their own. This makes affiliate marketing quite attractive for those who have little or no experience in marketing and business.   Affiliates learn as they go along - without spending money that they don't have.

You can find an affiliate program to market almost any type of product or service that you can imagine, however, there are some products and services that are highly competitive, such as casino's, pharmacy products, insurance, loans, and the like.. These particular products and services are highly competitive because they are in high demand, and the commission rates for these types of products and services are often very high.

In order to compete in these highly competitive markets, you must set yourself apart from the other affiliates who are selling the same or similar products or services. Here is a list of several ways that you can set yourself apart from the competition:

1. Make sure that you have your own website, centered around one theme, where you can promote several different products or services all related to that one theme. Super Affiliates have at least one site on a subject they are promoting.  Some have dozens.  You should have at least one website related to the product or genre you are promoting.  Random links around the internet don't bring in many links.  But informative articles on your site should prompt your readers to click on your recommended related links.

2. Offer incentives. Check out your competition and see what they are offering their customers from their websites. Then do something that none of them are doing. This may include writing and giving away an original ebook - either before or after a purchase. Make your incentive valuable, and make sure that you are the only person offering this incentive. Other possible incentives include free reports, email courses, or support. For high end products, where you will receive a high commission, you can easily find affordable gifts that you can offer your customers after they've placed their orders.
